About us and our commitment
SG Umbrella operates as an “Umbrella company”. This is the temporary supply of workers to end clients. These workers are employed by SG Umbrella. SG Umbrella has its headquarters in Winchester, UK and operates entirely within the UK.
We have a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We further recognise our responsibility to ensure that safeguards are in place to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking does not occur in our business or supply chains.
We commit to investigate fully any claims of modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or supply chain.
Our supply chain
Recruitment agencies are normally contacted by a client to provide introductions to temporary workers. Temporary workers are then sourced by the recruitment agencies and those workers are then provided by SG Umbrella Ltd. The worker has an employment contract with SG Umbrella. SG Umbrella has a contract for services with the recruitment agency and a contract for services is also in place between the recruitment agency and the end client.
We have policies in place to ensure we are protecting workers from modern slavery within our business and supply chains including:
– Whistle blower policy
– Not engaging with business known to or if we have suspicion of modern slavery
– Adhering to National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage legislation
– Monitor areas of potential risk
Our commitment to this is communicated to all staff within our business.
Following a review of our policies and procedures we intend to provide further training to all staff within our organisation and work with other organisations within our supply chain to promote best practice.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 June 2019.
